Reminisce

REMINISCE
Some say don’t sit and reminisce
On what might have been
But still, thoughts invade
On all that I have seen
><
Vivid images won’t leave me
Of wild, red tresses
Crinkled hazel eyes
No longer here, distresses
><
So long, long ago
I cling to a photograph
Strange how it affected me
Bitter sweet; I cry, I laugh
><
My saviour is not a god
Just a humble paint brush
From deep within, a memory
Transubstantiates onto my canvas

Your poem seems to be of locked memories Anne. But good to release them I guess.
Nice one.
So much inspiration for paintings, Rita
